Although this album may be for sale in the "Country" music section of record stores, the album has been called "A winning combination of blues, rock and R&B, performed by one of Nashville's legendary blue eyed (well actually, green-eyed) soul singers".
Whatever about Vickie's green eyes, she definitely has a lot of blues in her voice. There are thirteen good tracks here including originals, and a few of Vickie's favorite blues and R&B tunes. If you're into the late sixties/early seventies Muscle Shoals and Stax sounds, you'll like this album.

The lady has a great voice, and she is backed by many great experienced musicians. Some of the guitar work by Don Carr and Jack Pearson is terrific. "Never Been Hurt" is a classy and impressive album, and HR by A.O.O.F.C. Go and see this lady if she's singing near you, and watch out for more releases from her.
